WHAT I STAND FOR

AND WHAT DRIVES ME

I hope that in everything I do, everything I stand for and everything I am, it reflects the way I was raised: in a small town, in a rodeo family, with deep roots, with a drive to be successful and with a heart to serve others and preserve what I’m passionate about.

If you’re here, we probably love many of the same things; and I hope to connect! My life is all about the western way of life - something I was blessed to grow up around in a small-town rodeo family. Everything I do and stand for ties back to those roots, specifically the values of working hard, staying grounded, chasing success and finding ways to engage with others who make this lifestyle so special.

While I didn’t grow up competing in the arena, working cattle daily or being involved in a hands-on way myself in the way that I thought I should or wanted to, I grew up immersed in the lifestyle, knowing how important it was to care for the animals and livestock and how inspiring the people in this industry have always been. However looking back, I now realize that passion to find my own place in the western industry has served me well, providing opportunities to tell the stories of the incredible folks who live and breathe this way of life every single day. Through my work as the Marketing & Media Manager at the North Texas Fair & Rodeo and my freelance writing, photography and content creation, I get to shine a light on the resilience, beauty and grit of the western industry. I have been extremely blessed, especially in the last few years, to work with brands and publications that really align with my own values and passions, which is something I do not take for granted. And although I work for brands in numerous places, I am thankful to get to do so from Clovis, New Mexico, where I am surrounded by supportive friends and family and a culture of cowboys, cowgirls and down-to-earth, good people. Whether it’s traveling to events, meeting amazing people or capturing and sharing the moments that matter most, I’m all in for keeping our heritage alive and thriving.

On the personal side of things, I’m engaged to the most dedicated middle school teacher, small-town coach and team roper I know - someone who inspires me daily and who I couldn’t love cheering on more. My family is truly my foundation with a hard-working father who’s spent his life in animal health sales, roping calves and supporting his family; a selfless mother who is a volunteer EMT and amazing nurse who put her life on hold for her family for years; and a brilliant younger brother who is pretty handy, makes everyone laugh and is currently a Fightin’ Texas Aggie calf-roper. I am also blessed with the very best bonus family, with in-laws and two brother-in-laws that also support our every ambition. Rounding out my crew is my Australian Shepherd, who isn’t good for much except being my best friend, but is as easygoing as they come and always up for whatever adventure we throw his way.

Every day, I am grateful to live a life where I can combine my love for this community with my work. I believe our western heritage and this lifestyle are worth fighting for, and I can’t wait to continue sharing it with others for years to come.
